ClaimSmentor welcomes our newest sponsor- The Society of Certified General Adjusters

July 6, 2012

There is so much confusion about the various General Adjuster designations from self appointed, the RGA’s (registered General Adjusters), Executive General Adjusters,  and The Society of Certified General Adjusters  which I strongly support.

ClaimSmentor welcomes our newest sponsor, the Society of Certified General Adjusters.

Lee Baker is the head administrator and is a member of ClaimSmentor.
You can visit their website for complete information at:
http://www.certifiedgeneraladjuster.org/
You can view Lee’s background on his ClaimSmentor profile using this link once you login: for our forum members:

For Linkedin members, here’s the link to Lee’s profile there:

I strongly support their development of this new program providing the SCGA designation.
I personally managed Lee during the horrific 4 in 04 hurricane season in Florida and can personally attest to his qualifications to run this program.
Should you need additional information, you can find contact information on their website as well as on Lee’s ClaimSmentor profile on the link above.

Best Regards,

******************************************

It is rare that I would endorse a particular adjusting firm due to the variables involved in evaluating an adjusting firm on important issues such as quality of their adminstration personnel, professionalism of staff, promptness of payments to adjusters, quality of claims management personnel, etc. However, I do STRONGLY endorse Mariposa Claims after working closely with them since the inception of ClaimSmentor in 2005 and their continued committment to mentoring and support of the ClaimSmentor program. I endorse them not because they are a ClaimSmentor sponsor but because of the long term relationship we have developed where I have gotten to know first hand the quality and dedication of the owners of this firm and their managers and importantly that I have gotten fantastic feedback from all independents I have staffed for them over the years during many catastrophe events who consistently report back that Mariposa provides an outstanding CMS Claims Management System (hosted by Click Claims at www.clickclaims.com) , a quality management staff, a friendly and available group at their home office who process assignments and adjuster payments, and…need I say more? One thing I will definitely add- if you are not interested in doing quality work or try to be a turn and burn adjuster then this offer is NOT for you!

ClaimSmentor Sponsor Eberls Claims is seeking Billingual Independent Adjusters

April 18, 2012

We have received a request from ClaimSmentor sponsor Eberls Claims Service to let everyone know that they are currently accepting independent adjusters with billingual skills per the following information to share with you:

Eberl Claims Service is currently interviewing bi-lingual, Spanish speaking individuals to be considered for future catastrophe assignments/deployments. You must be able to pass a Spanish Speaking Certification in order to qualify for bi-lingual deployments (see below). Previous property adjusting experience or related experience is preferred; however we do have training programs for individuals that have excellent customer service skills and outstanding computer skills.

To qualify as a bi-lingual adjuster, an oral exam must be completed to assess language level and skill. Eberl offers this exam one time, free of charge to qualified candidates. The test is challenging; superior skills are required to pass. Candidates must be able to speak and understand Spanish fluently. This is a 40 minute oral exam designed to assess your conversational skills and knowledge of the language. Typical questions may ask you to discuss your favorite film/book in depth, describe in detail your neighborhood, home, family and friends, etc.

For more information, please email training@eberls.com and include “Spanish Speaking” in the subject line.

Thanks as always to Eberls Claims for supporting our ClaimSmentor online mentoring program!

2012 Independent Adjuster Carrier Catastrophe Certification Workshops- Contact Eberls Claims Service for Information

January 30, 2012

I am frequently asked for the location and dates of upcoming Property and Auto carrier certification classes with carrier certifications as one of the top requests.

I highly recommend any independent adjuster seeking specific dates and locations contact Eberls Claims Service  who is a highly regarded independent adjusting firm. I know they have a training headquarters in Dallas and provide excellent courses for Xactimate Training by one of the handful of people who are actually a Certified Xactimate trainer by Xactware (Jennifer Whitaker).

I have many adjusters who are on their rosters who highly recommend Eberls. I have also supervised Eberl’s adjusters for many years when performing as a National Catastrophe manager for State Farm as well as a Field Team Manager so I feel very confident recommending them.

They can fill you in on the experience requirements, dates of upcoming  carrier certification exam dates.

Email Tina Lehman at Eberls at TLehman@Eberls.com to submit your resume and request information should you be looking for a Carrier Certification or other assignments as Eberls is also a Citizens of Florida  adjusting firm and I have no doubt respresent many other carriers providing you with an excellent opportunity to receive assignments given your experience level and professionalism meets their needs.

Welcome to our two newest sponsors at ClaimSmentor

May 9, 2009

We’d like to welcome Adjusters Now and Emergency Response Training  as our newest sponsors at ClaimSmentor to help support this volunteer project to mentor new adjusters. Both firms come to us based on recommendations by ClaimSmentor members.

Emergency Response Training provides Rope and Harness field safety training classes for Independent Adjusters in the Texas area near Houston. They do provide a 10% discount off the cost  to  register for classes  to our  ClaimSmentor members. In the past there has been quite a shortage of  rope and harness classes available yet just in the past  week,    I’ve been informed of several new programs becoming available and will post more on those as we are notified when their facilities for training are completed. ERT provides training for emergency rescue and other safety courses for Fire Fighters and other reputable organizations and is just extending their program to the independent adjuster community in June 2009. One of our long term participants on ClaimSmentor will be working with the program from the independent adjuster needs aspect. We do hope you will visit their site soon on the link provided above. http://www.ertrescue.com/SteepRoof/SteepRoofIndex.html

Our second new sponsor is Adjusters Now which is an Xactimate training class option hosting classes in FL in the Orlando, Tampa, and West Palm Beach areas. The owner is Robert Valden who has his level three Xactimate 25 certification from Xactware and 5 years of property claims adjusting experience. The class provides extensive CE’s for Florida adjusters. www.Adjustersnow.com To see all of our additional sponsors, you can use this link for information on supporting the ClaimSmentor project through your sponsorship of our ClaimSmentor projects:
